Review: The Birthday Gift by Eva Eliav

Review of The Birthday Gift by Eva Eliav (687 words)

Luna Station Quarterly, Issue 007 : Purchase or Read Online

An auction where they're selling chunks of time. A pair of friends, one excited, one reluctant.

While I loved the premise, I was uncertain whether they were selling a fixed number years of living a different mindset, or whether those number of years got tacked on to your lives instead.

Either way, a fun read, but I'd have liked some clarity on this point. That confusion took away a little bit of the charm of the story for me. Maybe that's just me, though, and you'll probably understand it better than I did.
