Review: A Recipe for Trouble by Aimee Ogden

Review of A Recipe for Trouble by Aimee Ogden (1971 words)
Luna Station Quarterly, Issue 047: Purchase or Read Online

This type of story is one of my favorite "types", if I can even categorize it. You could possibly call it magical realism, maybe.

I want to read all the stories possible that have this type of world building and magic system. A wonderful tale about a cookbook and it's hidden secrets.

Leah was such a real, fiery character. I enjoyed the short vignettes as part of an overarching mild story. I also loved the undercurrent of sadness and longing, rebellion and conformity.
